The Lucerne Valley Rescue Story
In one of the largest pig hoarding cases in recent history, 68 pigs were found overbreeding and starving in Lucerne Valley — some so desperate they were eating sand. When the owner refused to surrender them, animal control finally seized the animals and brought them to the Devore shelter.
The rescue community rallied together in an incredible show of compassion, and every single pig found a home without any being euthanized! The final count ended up being well over 68 due to pregnant females.
Eight of those babies are now in our care, and they need your help to get spayed, neutered, and microchipped before finding their forever homes. We found a vet clinic in Tucson, Arizona that charges about 1/3 of what local clinics cost. That means we're loading up all 8 piggies and making the 6-hour drive each way to get them the care they deserve.
We're raising $2,000 to cover their surgeries. Every dollar brings these sweet survivors one step closer to happy, healthy lives!
The Boys: Sal, Q, Joe, & Mur
These four adorable brothers are 8 weeks old and were taken in the day they were born from the Devore shelter. Their mom was part of the Lucerne Valley case, and now these little guys are thriving and ready for the next step.
Joe, Sal, Q, and Mur will be ready for their forever homes after getting neutered and microchipped. Neutering prevents aggression, protects their health, and stops unwanted litters.
Help get these boys fixed and ready for adoption!
The Girls: Wynonna, Reba, Dolly & Teddy Bear
Wynonna, Reba, and Dolly are sisters whose mom, Miss Piggy, was found roaming the streets of LA. She gave birth to her three girls at the shelter, and we picked them up when they were just 3 days old! Now they're 4 months old and ready to be spayed and microchipped for their forever homes.
Teddy Bear is a precious 3-month-old who's also ready to get spayed and microchipped before finding her forever family!
These four sweet girls need your support to get fixed and ready for adoption!
